Since the 16th century, Red Radicchio has been produced in Treviso. Its distinctive spear-shaped leaves and crisp stems have been expertly grilled and paired with the flavour of robust black pepper. Similar to rhubarb, Red Radicchio loses its chlorophyll when cultivated in a dark climate, giving it a vivid red colour. As a side dish for our grilled meat selection or cold cuts, its bitter flavour works nicely.
